Ussassai meeting's results

Lot of interested parts took part in the meeting: the Ussassai mayor Dr. Giannino Deplano, who explained the involvement of the Ussassai territory in the project’s actions, an area of 2800 ha.

The Dr. Carlo Garau, Province Medio Campidano, talked about the operations’ progresses; ecological corridor were created in order to encourage the deer’s movement towards new terriories avoiding high density in few areas. The scientific co-ordinator, Dr. Andrea Murgia, analized the deer movements and their steps. Some deer were transported into new areas and informations about their habits are collected thanks to the radio – collares. Dr. Piera Angela Cabras focused the attention on the health aspects and on the methods of preventing the disease’s spread.
